The Aztec Hopi

“Who am I?”

This is the question I’ve asked over and over, but never wanted the real answer. Shame and pain of difficult life experiences made me shy away from who I was. I pretended to be someone else, afraid of anyone finding out the truth. Afraid of being rejected for being “broken.” I decided to forget myself and focus on Him. But by turning to Him, I learned who I am because He is my Creator and by His hand I came to be.

Every piece I create I have so much love for. They share stories that I can’t express through words. I know every line perfectly as I spent hours making them exactly as I wanted. That is how the Creator sees us. No more hiding, no more fear. He created us out of love, so why hate who we are?

“…Yea, and he looketh down upon all the children of men; and he knows all the thoughts and intents of the heart; for by his hand were they all created from the beginning.”- Alma 18:32.

Who am I?

I am who He created me to be.
